Janice moved to San Diego from Northern California eight years ago. She is Supervisor Jacob's advisor for health and human services, an area that represents the largest percentage of the County's operating budget. Janice also helps Supervisor Jacob build and improve the many parks and libraries throughout the Second District and handles Neighborhood Reinvestment grant requests. Janice's other policy areas include the San Dieguito Joint Powers Authority, San Diego River Conservancy, Goodan Ranch Policy Board, Sports Advisory and Trails Committee and water issues. Janice has a master's degree in public administration from San Diego State University. In her spare time she enjoys hiking and boxing.
